"Absolutely fantastic team"

About: Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Services / Wyre Forest Home Treatment Team

(as a carer),

My Fiancé has a history of manic episodes and is diagnosed with bi polar disorder. At about the middle of May 2026 she started to become unwell again after struggling to sleep for several nights in a row. I then suddenly became her de facto carer, and unfortunately struggled to get her assessed (and therefore sectioned under the mental health act) with various organisations but Michelle and her team at the Wyre Forest home treatment team (Robertson centre, Kidderminster) were absolutely fantastic and organised a mental health assessment for my fiancé the same day which meant that she could go into hospital and receive the care and treatment she needed. I’m very grateful to Michelle and her team who are an absolute credit to the wonderful and amazing institution that is the NHS.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about the Wyre Forest Home Treatment Team.

We are very sorry to hear that your fiancée became unwell and appreciate how difficult and distressing this period must have been for both of you. We also recognise the important role you played in supporting her during this time and advocating for the care she needed.

We are pleased that the Home Treatment Team were able to arrange a timely assessment and support access to the appropriate treatment when it was needed most. Providing compassionate, responsive, and person-centred care is something we strive for, and it is heartening to hear that you felt supported throughout the process.

Your feedback has been shared with the wider team, who will be delighted to know that their efforts made a positive difference during such a challenging time. Recognition like this means a great deal to our staff and highlights the value of the care they provide every day.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. We wish your fiancée all the very best in her continued recovery.
