"Very helpful and understanding"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I phoned Hairmyres for a request to have some written info about my eyes tests last year after having double vision in one eye as going to new  opticians and wanted to have the information of the issue.

I was put through to Dr Butler's office and a very polite and helpful secretary called Michelle listened to my enquiry and said she would ask permission if I could get my eye test results sent out.

Now whether I do receive this info or now I would like to say that this lady was very helpful and understanding my request and again another one of Hairmyres Opthalmic Dept to be valued.

Over last 5 years my family has had to use Hairmyres A&E, Gastology  Wards and the Opthalmic Dept, Imagine Dept ( scans x rays ) and the service provided has been excellent.

Michelle, Dr Butler's Secretary, has just added to our 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 NHS Service being the Best and it's the employees  from Medical ,Admin and Facilities and Volunteers  delivering the services that make it so . πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Hi MagsC

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.

We are delighted to hear that Michelle was able to assist you in such a helpful, understanding and professional manner. Our administrative colleagues play a vital role in supporting patients and ensuring they receive the information and assistance they need, and it is wonderful to see Michelle recognised for the positive difference she made to you.

It is also particularly encouraging to hear your kind comments about the care and service your family has received from a number of departments across University Hospital Hairmyres over the years. We are proud of the commitment shown every day by our clinical, administrative, facilities and volunteer teams, and feedback such as yours reminds us of the impact that compassion, kindness and professionalism can have on the people we serve.

Your comments have been shared with Michelle, Dr Butler's team and our wider Ophthalmology Department so that they can see the difference their efforts make. We know they will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback and for recognising the dedication of our NHS staff. We wish you all the very best with your upcoming optician appointment and thank you for your continued support of NHS Lanarkshire.

Thanks.
