"What a fantastic Team you have"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency Antrim Area Hospital / Ward B1 Acute Medicine (AMU1)

(as the patient),

I recently had reason to attend AAH ED Dept where I was triaged very quickly and efficiently and transferred to Level B -where I spent 7nights.

What can I say about this Unit cerainly nothing negative. What a fantastic Team you have. Be very Proud. I am a retired RN/RM but when you are the patient it's very different.I can honestly say that the treatment I received was excellent. From every member of your team. It was a very scary experience for me but the care and reassurrance helped me get through it and home again. Too many names for me to remember but such professionalism along with lovely attitudes ,everyone works so hard but always pleasant. I truly couldn't thank you all enough keep up the good work you are doing a great job. As I said a fantastic team.

Good afternoon LizJune26,

I am Danielle Wheatley, Clinical Services Manager for Acute Medicine, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback about our team.

I was delighted to read your comments regarding the care and treatment you received during your recent admission. Being admitted to hospital can be a very worrying and frightening experience, and it is wonderful to hear that the care, reassurance and professionalism shown by the team helped support you throughout your stay.

Your kind words about the staff's positive attitudes, compassion and dedication are greatly appreciated. Our teams work incredibly hard to deliver the highest standard of care possible, and it is always rewarding to receive feedback recognising the difference they make to our patients and their families.

I will ensure that your comments are shared with the staff on Level B and with our Emergency Department colleagues. I know they will be proud to hear how highly you valued the care they provided.

On behalf of the entire team, thank you once again for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that you are now home and wish you all the very best for your continued recovery.

Kind regards,

Danielle Wheatley
Clinical Services Manager
