"Friendly reassurance and respect"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Dermatology

(as the patient),

Although the waiting list for this surgery seems very long, on the day of my surgery, from the warm friendly receptionist to all of the "team" I was treated with calm, friendly reassurance and respect.

Dr Heath and Dr McGrath who carried out my surgery, conveyed competence, reassurance, respect and care as they operated under local anaesthetic. The support team around them and the staff looking after me during the day, were friendly at put me at ease.

Back home I was able to read through the advice leaflets given and it was lovely to have a check up call from Bev, the day after the surgery. Thank you wonderful team!

The only things I felt could be improved was the pre-surgery information, communication between the hospital and patient and the apps are confusing.

Dear longterm devon resident

thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with the Dermatology.

We are working hard to drive down our waiting times, with the service now operating 7 days a week, with longer terms plans to increase the number of operating rooms on the heavitree site.

I will take on board your comments raised around pre-surgery information, will work with the team how we could improve this.
