"My son breaking his ankle"

My teenage son broke his ankle at Jiu jitsu and required surgery. I was surprised how quickly they got him in. Once he was an outpatient nurses Maddie, Gill and Lynsey were amazing with him, calming hia nerves and making sure we ahead everything we needed. Corina from the play team was amazing also even though my son is a bit older and not interested in toys.

Even the anaesthetist and surgeon were fabulous, making sure we understood the full process and answered any questions. Soothed him when he needed his cannula as he hates needles.

Brilliant experience at Kirkcaldy outpatient department.
