"Main Entrance - No Smoking Policy"

I have absolutely no problems with Blackburn General's staff, attitude, medical proficiency and internal facilities. That said, I am absolutely disgusted at the condition of the Main Entrance area due to the thoughtless detritus left by inconsiderate smokers. Not more than 20m away from the entrance a large sign that clearly states the Hospital Policy - No Smoking. This is totally ignored by smokers and clearly is never seriously enforced. It leaves a shockingly poor impression of a hospital that is working very hard in all other fields. Smoking and hospitals are not a good combination. Sick patients running the gauntlet through somebody else's smoke in the lobby entrance is totally unacceptable. Please re-visit this policy and, frankly, deplorable situation. Regards and thanks.
