We felt mum was safe. Just having someone to pop in from Mansfield and Ashfield Intentive Recovery and Intervention Service and make sure she had taken her tablets which she wasn’t doing before.
She has her daughter living nearby but she works and does take mum shopping on a Friday. We live in Yorkshire and stay every other weekend so it makes us feel happier and less worried knowing someone is checking up on mum.
She is lonely, so the good thing is having someone to talk to and ‘listen’.
What showed changed? It would be nice if the carer has longer and took her out for a coffee.
