"An example of how GP surgeries should be"

About: NHS England London

(as the patient),

Bursted Woods Surgery in Barnehurst ought to be put on a pedestal and shown around the country as an example of how GP surgeries should be.

I recently moved to this surgery from the other surgery the other side of the hill - which was very good, but this one's far better.

They're always thorough - and I was particularly impressed that with one of my many pressing concerns, it was suggested I make a subsequent appointment, as the GP didn't wish to sweep through it, without much investigation. Excellent.

If only I could write to the Lancet and how tell them how wonderful they are...

...And due to my Autistic Spectrum Condition, the GP bothers to engage me in discussion on the abolition of PCTs/creation of CCGs and how that has affected health-care. (Credit to the former surgery, too, mind, it became a running theme we'd discuss the merits of grammar schools whilst discussing whatever my problems are! )

Sadly, I am due to have an operation presently, so need to shift into a friend's flat, but at least that's SLaM Land so I can get my mental problems up-to-date, but I'll be back!
