"Flaunden Ward nurses unfailingly helpful & compassionate"

About: Watford General Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was in Flaunden ward for 2 days last week following an emergency operation on the bile duct.

The ward was a little cramped and understaffed, however despite this I found the nursing staff unfailingly helpful and compassionate. The impression I left with of caring staff doing the best they could under difficult circumstances and I would be happy to be a patient in this ward again if necessary
