Arrived at A&E with severe chest pain. I was dealt with excellently and given morphine, transferred to ward 18 and discharged next day.
Doctor said problem was muscular and I couldn't stay in hospital. I was told I would need to go on warfarin (I have irregular heartbeat), as it would save me having a stroke. When asked what if I have this pain again. the doctor replied that I should come back again. I considered his remarks to be flippant. I was expecting a suggestion of something in the nature of perhaps getting some sort of muscle relaxant or?
My overall impression of this doctor was he was uncaring and made me feel that I was bothering the hospital without good reason. The pain I had was severe enough to warrant going to a hospital for pain relief first and foremost.
"Poor attitude of doctor on ward 18"
