Prior to discharge, I never had the chance to properly thank the fantastic nursing staff in ward 108. I was in the ward for two weeks, and every day the nursing staff greeted me with a smile and put me at ease.
They never realised, but I could see the chaos outside my window, and empathised at how short staff they were, never did they let this effect my care. They were always compassionate, always my advocate and very knowledgable. At times when I felt the medical staff just seen me as just symptoms, the nursing staff seen me as a person again. Nothing was ever too much bother.
Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart, NHS Grampian needs more of you girls!
