This surgery is in a bad way
Management is poor here. The staff lack professionalism and basic common sense.
They are rude and immediately say the answer is no to any request.
You can't book to see the gp as for some strange reason they are not capable of having a diary longer than 2weeks. So instead you have to keep calling only to find the diary is always full.
However there are some people that are given appts. The staff shouldn't pick and choose who gets appts. They are either available or not.
The manager needs to train the receptionists in how to communicate with the patients.
Manager needs to Be present at the site daily, if not there should be a way of contacting her.
The Secretary is rarely there
Doctors are never there. Over the Xmas period the 2 permanent doctors were off at the same time. Locums can't send referrals etc. This is unfair on the patients. Needs to be managed better
Advising patients to go to the walk in centre is not the answer. There is no reason why the gp is unable to see you.
If too many patients are wanting appts may be they need to do some analysis on this and find the reason why.
The doctors have often said 1appt 1 problem. Clearly patients will keep coming. Sometimes common sense is needed.
Would love to see someone come in and organise this place.
The staff have too many bad habits, no structure, organisation. The staff always look like they don't even want to b there.
