Last week I had an outpatient appointment at Orthopaedics. I felt a bit nervous as this was the first time I had been in the hospital since before lockdown. I needn’t have worried as it all went like clockwork. I was met at the door and was asked Covid related questions. I booked in and was directed to the designated area. I was seen very quickly by a very pleasant young registrar ( at my age the Doctors all look young) who introduced himself.
He examined me and sent me for some xrays of my knees. Again the X-ray dept were very efficient and friendly. When I returned the Dr ( Nick) went over the results with me and told me what my options were. He subsequently gave me a cortisone injection into the most painful knee. He explained everything fully and saw me out the door where the Orthotist who’s care I am under spotted me and came over to ask how I was.
There was plenty of Covid advice available and hand gel at various spots throughout the hospital. I left Victoria Hospital very much reassured that they had everything under control. Thank you all.
