In November last year we were sent from Southern General to Yorkhill Hospital, where we waited for hours, then we were seen by a doctor who wasn't very forthcoming about what was happening and lacked enthusiasm, to then be kept in only until about 1. 30am and then sent home.
I didn't feel as well informed about my daughter's condition and was left with no peace of mind. Also, we live in Ayrshire so being discharged in the middle of the night in Glasgow, with no way of getting home was incredibly inconvenient, and we had to sit in the waiting room while we waited for my father to drive up to collect us, as he had driven home after we had been admitted.
I appreciate they are busy but I wasn't convinced my daughter was ready to go home and I felt we were treated in a very 'business-like' manner.
There was no follow up letter to our GP, so when I went to see him at Dalry Health Centre a couple of month later when my daughter was showing similar symptoms, he had no record of her admission to Yorkhill or her treatment, and also was very dismissive, offering me no advice or care.
