"Delivering a professional, caring service, under difficult circumstances."

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

Well, my experience of visiting the WEEU was considerably easier than finding out how to leave positive feedback for the staff! (Webmasters - PLEASE make this process easier to find and simpler. I bet you don't get many compliments as most folks probably get fed up and give up.....)

I had cataract surgery as the last job on a Friday so was a bit nervous that my op would be rushed or not given due attention. My experience was the opposite - From Abby right down to the lovely trainee who looked after me. I had a long wait as the crew dealt with the sicker, older and sometimes tricky patients before me. So I had a good view of how they all worked and organised everything. They were all fantastic! I have to say that I felt confident and comfortable in their care and they delivered a professional, caring service, under difficult circumstances.

Many thanks to all of you!

Dear Frotter

I noticed in your posting that you had difficulties in finding out how to give your feedback, and perhaps also that the process was too complex.

I wasn't sure if this referred to issues you faced once you were on the Care Opinion website itself. If so, please accept my apologies, and do feel free to let me know what problems you ran into. We are always keen to learn and improve what we do.

Many thanks

James

Update posted by Frotter (a service user)

Hi James, yep a little too complex right from the start. Too many acronyms, lots of links to other sites and places. I found it a bit trying. I'm pretty geeky and determined but I bet lots of less nerdy folk give up...

Seems a shame!

Thanks for your reply though...

Cheers.
