We have the pleasure of supporting so many English NHS Trusts, 3rd sector organisations and smaller services such as Hospices and GP Practices use Care Opinion to lift the patient voice and use their stories for learning and change. Our support team here at Care Opinion help and support staff within these organisations to promote Care Opinion and get the most out of the site features and functionality. However often its these staff, many front line and clinical who go above and beyond to sine a light on the patient voice.

James Munro (Care Opinion, CEO)

At Care Opinion people share their stories not simply to provide data, but to make a difference. People want their experiences to help other patients, encourage staff, or prompt improvements in care. So, impact matters

Here are some examples of the impact on some of our subscribing trusts and organisations who use Care Opinion in England:

Reflecting on my experience of Care Opinion, what started as a creative mission to improve feedback opportunities for patients and families has become far more than just that. One patient story, be it sharing a kind word or encouraging a change for better care, creates a wonderful ripple effect. The positivity it creates grows and expands, touching an individual member of staff, the paediatric department, cross-speciality departments and colleagues and most importantly the patients and families we care for.

Shining a light of feedback from children and young people, they design their own promotional materials with the help of Care Opinion's very own Bear.

Finally another great use of Care Opinion is combining the platform workflow with the NHS England Friends & Family question (FFT). United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust do this via HealthComms  by texting every patient after an appointment and then offer the patient to go on and share their story via Care Opinion if they have more to say. They have created this fabulous info graphic to hi-light the process, read more on their blog post: Creative use of Invitation links

We believe that patient feedback is crucial to improving our services and providing better care. We will continue to seek new ways to capture and share patient feedback to ensure that we are delivering the best possible care to our patients.
