The NHS 10 Year Plan was published in July 2025, with a strong emphasis on the value of patient feedback for learning and improvement.

On Monday 13th October a group of passionate, caring and (incredibly) enthusiastic RDaSHIans delivered a lively 50-minute webinar sharing their experience of using, with all their might, the Care Opinion platform.

Image titleThey summarised, with eloquence, their journey and story of Care Opinion so far, including sharing details of the initial roll-out, how Care Opinion ties in with the trust's Promise 4 https://www.rdash.nhs.uk/about-us/our-28-promises/ and the value and importance of responding.

Around 400 trust staff currently use the platform and stories have been viewed over over 150,000 times by the public.

Watch the recording and read the slides below to learn from:

  • Steve Forsyth, Chief Nurse
  • Paula Rylatt, Head of Quality and Promises/Patient Safety, Carer and Community Team
  • Natasha Collinson, Patient Safety, Carer and Community Team
  • Faye Braich, Clinical Lead & Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapist
  • James Munro, director of R&D, Care Opinion

We hope you have fun learning about the purpose of the Care Opinion platform through the eyes of the RDaSHians-as much fun as we're having supporting them on their feedback journey.
