We need your help to ensure authors within the Care Opinion Platform get a response.

  • PPI is a statutory obligation
  • We are accountable within the PCE Team to ensure two way communication within the Care Opinion Platform/ensuring each story gets a response.
  • Responses are activity monitored.
  • Meaning we require your help!
  • Can we please ask that you are mindful of providing a response to all stories relevant to your service.
  • Currently we have a percentage of responders actively responding to stories.  Thank you for your continued time and commitment.
  • But we note continued follow-up and continuous prompts to encourage responses, can we please remind all responders of the importance of responding to each story as noted below.

Responding within the Care Opinion platform is crucial for transforming patient feedback into actionable service improvements, fostering a culture of transparency, and building trust between the public and healthcare providers. It turns one-way complaints into a two-way conversation, allowing for rapid, constructive engagement that can address issues before they escalate into formal complaints.

Staff Morale and Recognition: Positive stories shared on the platform act as a valuable morale booster, allowing staff to feel proud of their work and celebrating excellent care.  Please continue to share the feedback with your wider teams.

Mitigating Negative Experiences: A well-crafted, personal response to negative feedback can turn a dissatisfied patient into a loyal advocate, addressing issues directly without lengthy, formal investigations.

Data-Driven Insights: It provides a structured, searchable, and transparent way to identify recurring themes in care, helping teams understand, at scale, what is working and what needs improvement.


We need your help to ensure each author gets a response to their story.
