It has been a challenging winter for urgent care services across England including Sheffield.
The whole Sheffield health and care system works together to ensure Sheffield people receive the best possible care. However, to ensure that we deliver an urgent care system that can cope well in the future we need to look at every part of the current system.
At NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) we are carrying out a review into Sheffield’s Urgent Care Services, and we want to hear about your experiences of them. The aim of this review is for the CCG to better understand how these services are accessed and used so that we have a local health system that can cope well with future demand.
We now want to ask you to tell us what you think.
We want to hear from anyone who has recently used any of the following services:
- Accident and Emergency
- 999
- NHS 111
- Walk-in-centres
- Minor Injuries Units
- Pharmacies
- GP Practice
- Out-of-hours GP
The three main areas we would like to understand are:
- Which services for urgent care have you used recently?
- How was it? Was it good or bad?
- What would you like to see in the future? For example, the locality of services, access, times.
We want to ensure that the system is able to meet demand while remaining clinically effective, patient focused and safe.
We are delighted to once again be working with Patient Opinion to help improve dialogue between patient and health service providers and to improve health services.
We have a developed a short survey for people to give their feedback. Please visit:

All information will anonymous and your contribution will help us to look at how we can improve services to make sure that you can get the right treatment, at the right time, by the right people in the right locations.
This is a great opportunity for you to have your say.
