I came to Wishaw General Hospital's A&E recently with my son who fell playing football in the garden. We only waited an hour or so to be triaged and then we were taken straight to Minor Injuries where we met a wonderful physio who assessed him and ordered an x-ray.
We didn't wait long for this or for the orthopaedic registrar to come to assess him. We were driving off within 3.5 hours and we've had follow up calls since from the fracture clinic and paediatric physio (who have given him an appt within a week).
This is amazing service, especially when I know how stretched all NHS services are. I'd like to thank all those at NHS Lanarkshire from those on the front desk at A&E and those keeping the hospital clean, to the fabulous doctors, nurses and AHPs who have taken such good care of my son. Thank you all!
