(as a service user),

I recently went in for my cataract surgery at Hairmyres and I was so impressed with the care I received.

The team all seemed to work well together with everyone knowing their role -  making the process seamless.

Despite the number of people on the ward, the staff still made time to offer reassurance, provide tea and biscuits and treat me as an individual.

Gordon the theatre nurse’s jovial manner provided a relaxed atmosphere and Dr Fern’s approach was very respectful.

The whole process gave me confidence and reassurance.

Dear Daisy42,

Lovely to read your positive feedback following your recent cataract surgery. The teams work closely together to ensure we provide an experience whereby patients feel relaxed and reassured. I'm pleased that you were treated with respect and despite it being a busy day you were shown individualised care. Providing some much needed tea and biscuits is something we do very well.

I'll pass on your lovely comments to all involved and would like to thank you for taking the time to tell us your story.
