"My care went like clockwork"

I recently visited the ambulatory care unit for a planned procedure.

All staff in the ambulatory and theatre units (not forgetting the portering staff), who transferred me to and from both, were exceptionally kind, friendly, caring and cheerful. All staff along the way introduced themselves which made a huge difference.

Every step was well organised, I felt listened to, and any worries I had were taken care of. All staff were professional and very skilled. I was provided with written and verbal information required for follow up and post op care, meaning I left feeling well informed about my care and next steps. 

Special thanks to Rachael, support staff member in Ambulatory care who went the extra mile, and whose lovely manner really helped put me at ease. 

My care went like clockwork and I’m so grateful to all staff involved who made this happen. A wonderful experience of NHS care on the day.
