"Makes you feel unsafe"

About: Crocus Medical Practice

Every time I call, I’m put in a queue that never ends

From reception I was referred to an e-Consult to make an appointment. It’s essentially a google search for self-assessment which when it concludes you need an appointment should send you a health report with a reference number. In my case it did conclude I need an appointment, but there was no report, no reference, no option to then book an appointment.

Taking me back to the phone - which never gets through.

Today (which was my first time after registering), I had a general check appointment arranged by NHS (possible only since it was started by them) for cholesterol and diabetes. Once I left the practice, I got a text that they want me to check my blood pressure over the next 7 days.

a) the text came in 10 minutes after I had left, surely this could’ve been communicated while I was there.

b) how am I expected to measure it? What tools am I expected to have. You can’t read your blood pressure off a coffee.

As mentioned- it was my first time using their services (I’ve tried to book prior but have never succeeded) and the whole experience left me feel unsafe.

I’m in the middle of transition to another, yes more distant, but reliable practice who helps when I am at my most vulnerable and need them.
