"Friendly, kind and supportive"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I went to hospital for a keyhole procedure to diagnose and treat endometriosis. I was at the end of my hopes, not knowing why I had been in so much pain for years. I was wishing for some answers on the day of my surgery.

The nurses were friendly, kind and supportive; the surgeon and anaesthetist were knowledgeable; all staff helped keep me calm; I was always reassured.

The staff made sure I had drinks and snacks; I was always met with a kind, warm face; there was a student on the ward who did some obs, and she was amazing.

I felt very cared for and I can't fault my experience. I was  worried but the nurses helped put me at ease. I felt confident in my team. I was calm and reassured, and felt looked after and safe.
