"My care has not been taking into consideration"

About: Lister Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

My experience with the reception team at Woodlands was  shocking and really let the team down massively.

I called and I explained to the member of staff on reception that I would like to know my blood test results after being referred from A&E for a suspected miscarriage. I was also after asking an enquiry about some medication they put me on that has started to make me bleed. I was advised I would be put into the nurse book and would get a call back within 24 hour.

I called back to ask why I hadn't had a call back yet and was told by the member of staff on reception that I was still in the book and that I should get a call back.....and still hadn't the next day.

I just called in to ask why I have still not received a call and I was told they can't find me in the book anymore and that they will put me back in there for a call but it could be a couple of days again as they are extremely busy. I example to the member of staff on reception that I have alarm waited 3 days and that it's urgent and they said well there is nothing they can do while being very rude.

Upsetting thing is I'm already debating changing hospital and the more upsetting thing is the team themselves such as the nurses sonographer and doctors are so lovely, but sadly this is not my first issue I have had with the reception staff.

My other issue was the day I was rushed into hospital with a suspected miscarriage the doctor spoke to the gynaecologist and I was promised an urgent call the next morning to get me booked in for an emergency scan and bloods. However the next day I call in and speak to the reception team again and was told they have no referral here and that I need to wait a couple of hours to talk to the nurse to see if I even need to come in .

Even after telling the member of staff on reception at the time I was bleeding and the A&E referred me last night to have urgent scans and blood, they still said you need to wait for the nurse call.

2 hours later I call back, telling them I need to be seen today, it's super urgent and I can't wait any longer, please check again as I was meant to get a call this morning as a matter of urgency. They then check the night book and says oh yes sorry my mistake come in ASAP! you are down for emergency scans and bloods, head down soon as possible.

My care has not been taking into consideration. It's very upsetting and I have decided that I will not longer be attending this hospital for my and my baby care.
