(as the patient),

I would like to say a big thank you to Mariam the Sonogropher at Newham hospital who recently conducted my ultrasound scan.

I’ve had a bad experience before with other doctors and Mariam changed that for me. She was very gentle, empathetic, attentative, professional and just overall, brilliant. She listened carefully to me and put me at ease with regards to my fear of pain during the process.

I think we need more professionals like her in the NHS.
