"I left feeling unimportant"

About: Southlands Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I have had regular check ups at Southlands glaucoma clinic and have always been well treated, but after a recent visit I left feeling unimportant.

The technicians were superb, supportive, kind and efficient.  When I came to the doctor I was anxious as I had been referred for NHS cataract surgery by my optician and I wanted to ask the doctor how this would impact on and be impacted by my glaucoma.  I had questions that I needed guidance on.

The doctor was never rude but was dismissive. They commented that Sundays were busy and if everyone asked questions they wouldn't get through their list (despite them also telling me they only had one more to see after me).

They seemed in a hurry to move me on. I had never seen this doctor before. Just thought someone should know my thoughts
