"It is a great service"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

I have found Cloughreagh an excellent environment for my husband's rehabilitation after his fall. Staff have been very helpful and on hand to assist with anything needed and always happy to help with information. My husband has progressed so well here, both with his mobility and his mindset, he is now ready for home.

I wouldn't have been able to cope at home a couple of weeks ago but now I am confident I will be able to manage due to the progress he has made here at Cloughreagh. The social worker has arranged a Package of Care which will give me much appreciated support.

The hospital were not able to give me much detailed information about Cloughreagh before we came but I was talking to other people who had relatives here and they recommended it very highly.

My husband and I really appreciate Cloughreagh, the peace and quiet contributed to my husband's recovery, and going forward I will be recommending Cloughreagh to others.  It is a great service and thank you to everyone involved with my husband's care.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your husbands stay at Cloughreagh. It is good to get a carers prospective on the service and I am pleased to hear that your husband has improved and you feel you will now be able to manage at home.

One of the issues we face here at Cloughreagh is that service users and family are not given much information about Cloughreagh in advance of admission, we are aiming to rectify that by having information leaflets at ward level for service users and an information sheet for staff on the wards. The Cloughreagh Welcome Pack in the bedroom also gives information on many aspects of the service. We also appreciate that some service users come to us due to recommendations by previous residents and this is always welcomed.

I am delighted that your husband has made a good recovery and is now able to go home with your support and a package of care.

Thank you once again for your feedback and on behalf of the staff here I would also like to wish you and your husband a Happy Christmas.

Regards

Stephanie Campbell
