About: Grantham & District Hospital / X-ray and Scans Lincoln County Hospital / X-ray and Scans

(as the patient),

I was due to have a scan recently at Grantham. My appt was cancelled due to sickness and rescheduled at Lincoln County. I've been rather anxious about these scans and upon arrival was informed that I was not on the system. I just want to thank Stephen, Marie and Sally from the ultrasound department for seeing me so last minute and carrying out the scans. To top it off, I get a letter today (day after my appt) to say my appt is scheduled at Grantham yesterday !? Go figure.

I am sorry that you have had a poor experience with regards to your ultrasound appointment booking and thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. I have spoken to the appointments team and they have apologised for any distress that was caused on your attendance into our department. I understand you have since spoken to our appointments team with regards to the further letter that you have received in the post.

I will pass on your thanks to our sonographer Steven and the reception team within Radiology here at Lincoln Hospital.

I would like to once again apologise for your experience and give you my assurance that we have taken your concerns on board and learned from them.
