"The group sessions were engaging"

About: Primary Mental Health Care Services / Condition Management Programme

(as a service user),

I had to take time off work due to ill heath and was advised to undertake the Conditions Management Program to help aid me coming back to work. I attended weekly group sessions based around self care, talking to others and finding ways to help support yourself through work and personal issues. The group sessions were engaging, but could have followed up on homework/tasks that had been set on the previous week.

Whilst on the program I spoke to/received support from Dieticians, Occupational Therapist and my keyworker (Kathyrn O).
All members of the team very supportive and friendly. I felt that myself and Kathyrn O built a good rapport during our sessions which helped me speak openly and honestly about my feelings whilst on the program.

Dear Snowbk49

thank you for taking the time to share your experience of engaging with the Condition Management Programme. I am delighted that it was such a positive experience and hope that your words will encourage others to participate also.

I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the wider team and that the homework tasks are reviewed in more detail going forward.

I wish you well for the future and thank you again for your engagement.

Kind regards

Barbara-Anne Richardson
