"Very accommodating, informative, and knowledgeable"

About: Community Services / Rotherham Memory Service

(as a carer),

We recently had a very informative diagnosis appt. The nurse we saw was very accommodating, informative, and knowledgeable!

After receiving all the diagnosis information, which is a lot to take on board and digest, we were then informed dad would be discharged back to the GP because no medication had been prescribed.

I, as the carer, feel one more appt after diagnosis would be adequate for any follow-up questions after diagnosis. These questions, I feel, would be better answered by the specialist rather than a GP. Other than that a great service!

Dear Carer

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions, we take all suggestions seriously and use them to improve patient care. I totally understand it is a lot to take in at one appointment after receiving a diagnosis which can be very distressing and often there is a lot of questions clients/carers would like answers to once they have had time to think about them.

Please if you feel you require further support or you have questions regarding diagnosis and access to services available, please telephone our receptionist who will put you through to the duty worker who is also a dementia specialist who would be able to answer any questions you may have.

Thank You

Chrissy
