Initially intended to make an appointment at St Andrews Hospital, St Andrews, Fife Minor Injuries Clinic. Was told by the very pleasant reception ist that as there was absolutely no one in the waiting room that I would be seen there and then. Filled in their form, unexpectedly pleased that it was so quiet and I would be seen straight away - within reason.
I waited over half an hour with no response from the clinical staff. This was apart from them filling up water bottles and occasionally walking about.
I asked the receptionist if she could give me an indication of waiting time. She kindly went and reminded the closeted clinical staff. No reaction was forthcoming from said illusive clinicians. Waited a further 10 minutes - had to go to collect children.
The receptionist was professional and polite and said nothing negative about her esteemed but elusive clinical colleagues. However, and this may be my own interpretation, I perceived she was well used to this dilatory and careless behaviour of her elevated colleagues.
Oh well, should I just waste an appointment with my exceptional GP?
"Dilatory staff"
