"Two very different appointments"

About: Musgrave Park Hospital / Pre Operative assessment (ward 2A)

(as the patient),

I attended the clinic with my sister, I was given information to follow up with consultant's secretary re surgery. I tried several times unsuccessfully to make contact via the contact number given to me. My medical condition had deteriorated significantly from my initial appointment and I was left feeling forgot about, this has had an impact on my mental health.

9 months later, I attended my second pre-op assessment in Musgrave hospital. The Nurse who completed the assessment was lovely, friendly and very Professional. Unfortunately she was unaware of my previous assessment and had no record of my assessment. She informed us that the system was now digital so she required all the medical history again.

I have been left very disillusioned by the whole experience and now have no confidence in this process of pre-operative assessments.

I last seen my consultant in 2020 and expected to have surgery then , following the pandemic, 5 years later I am no further on , except that my physical and mental health have suffered greatly with all these delays,
