"It was quite stressful for me"

About: Ealing Hospital

(as a service user),

I attended Ealing Hospital for a Physiotherapy appointment. The appointment itself went well, I was seen on time and the Physiotherapist was very helpful and informative with regards to my concerns.

The only issue I had was dealing with staff at the front desk, as I tried to sign in for my appointment using the touch screen, this didn't work, so I went to the reception desk only to be told to go and sign in on another touch screen. I would have thought as I was at the desk already, they could have just quickly checked me in.

I was also trying to sort out an issue with a future appointment for Imaging (to confirm the time) and asked for a confirmation message of the correct time and date to be sent to my phone. I was told this would be sent to me later in the day, however I still haven't received it. So far I have 2 letters with incorrect appointment details. All I wanted was a confirmation letter or message, but this has been impossible to obtain.

It was quite stressful for me as I always make sure I attend all of my appointments on time, hence the reason I went to 3 different front desks to try to resolve the issue.

I finally found the correct appointment details on the NHS App, but if I didn't have this, I would still be wondering when exactly my appointment is.

Dear Service User,

Thank you for leaving your feedback. I am glad the physiotherapy appointment went well but am sorry to read that there also negative aspects on your visit.

As this is a anonymous platform, we are unable to obtain any of your patient information to look into this further. We do however have a PALS department who are in person at Northwick Park and Ealing Hospitals as well as them being contactable via telephone: 02088695118 or email: LNWH-tr.PALS@nhs.net. If you would like this to be looked into further then please do reach out to them.

Apologies again for any confusion caused.

Best wishes,

Leanne Fernandes
