Experience spoiled by poor timekeeping. Arrived early for 11:40 appointment and not seen until about half an hour after with no explanation or letting us know on arrival about appointments running late. I had to ask what was happening after waiting 20 minutes after appointment time. I had brought my father to have his ears syringed. He has dementia and the extended waiting time made him very restless, frustrated and agitated. I could tell his behaviour was also affecting other patients. The surgery should be aware of his condition. Timekeeping can be difficult I appreciate, but there is no reason to be so far adrift. I presume the appointment slots are not long enough and numbers are prioritised over adequate length.
The healthcare professional who saw us was excellent (as was her colleague who assisted) and had an excellent, caring manner.
The reception staff were also very helpful on arrival and provided useful advice about parking - of which there is not enough, as the surgery shares parking with a free car park and has no dedicated spaces for patients.
So, positive overall, but spoiled by poor timeliness.
