"Almost perfect"

About: Harrogate District Hospital

Visited urology as an out of area patient from Derbyshire, as the majority of hospitals within a 50 mile radius of my home are not fit for purpose.

Parking here is a nightmare. I was very fortunate to drop on to a vacant disabled space but for other people, they didn't appear as fortunate.

Secondly, the main entrance is cluttered and has far too many signs, almost overwhelming. Surely there is a simpler way of mapping the hospital. I am autistic and therefore this wasn't ideal. I also had no idea I was supposed to check in at a terminal on arrival.

It was all very confusing, congested and overwhelming but the reception desk eventually helped me find where I needed to be.

I was seen earlier than my appointment time and out within 15 mins. The consultant was supportive, understanding and competent and I was appreciative of this and the care I received.
