"I feel gaslighted "

I have some itchiness that comes and goes for about 1.5 years, since giving birth and the medication that I previously had should be used to treat the issue max 2 times in 6 months but now I would need to use it the 3rd time in 6 months so asked to see the GP. I got an appointment with a nurse practitioner and after describing the symptoms again face to face, I was given Canesflor. I am currently taking this for 5 days and feel no better. I was not expecting to be having an appointment with the nurse, I was not expected not to be examined. I was expecting to see a gynecologist becathis is an issue that keeps happening and while there might be good intentions, this practice has no idea how anything looks and just made an assumption that I might get better with a probiotic that is not even properly proven to help whatever I have. I feel disappointed and expect to need to return in some 1-2 weeks to be seen. I hope that next time it would be someone that is specialised in gynecology.
