"Attitude of staff member"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Outpatients

(as the patient),

While attending a recent OPD appointment I felt very uncomfortable due to the actions of one particular staff member, hanging about the doorway, chatting.

The staff member made me feel uncomfortable in my waiting to check in at reception, hovering about. I could feel them  staring and muttering to their colleague before looking again. Luckily they were not involved in my care, as I did not want them near.

Reception staff and those involved in my treatment were lovely.

Perhaps this member of staff was having an off day, but certainly not a nice atmosphere and unprofessional. I'm sure there were more productive tasks they should have been doing

Dear doradoyy87

I sincerely apologise for the behaviour you experienced during your recent interaction with a member of our outpatients staff. Please know this does not reflect the values or level of professionalism we strive to uphold. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and allowing us to feedback and improve. I appreciate your understanding.

Regards

Pamela
