I was supposed to have had an appointment for day procedure in Lagan Valley Hospital .
I rang LVH just to confirm the time as I was quite anxious. I was transferred 4 times to different people. The last time it was a member of staff in the booking centre who informed me that this appointment was cancelled.
I had no notification of this, they then tried to pass this off as though it was just like sweeping it under the rug. They also mentioned that I would be referred back to the southern trust and receive an appointment in due course.
I feel completely let down and my emotional and mental wellbeing has being greatly affected by this. I was led to believe I was getting this procedure done and was never contacted in any form to say otherwise. I found out that the reason was for an underlying medical issue that partly the reason why I was getting this procedure.
I have two young children, whom I am unable to be left alone with because of me always falling asleep. I am always tired and have a poor quality of life. Falling asleep whether I am at work, home or out anywhere.
At the moment I am on the cliff edge, and seriously struggling with it. I have severe mental health issues which is detrimentally impacted on my health and wellbeing.
I am deeply bewildered on how this can be cancelled and why was I never informed or made aware.
"Not informed of cancellation"
