I had an appointment on Sunday in January at an urology clinic ( under Dr Kodera) that had been set up to try to clear the backlog of patients waiting for their original appointments. As a heavy snowfall had descended in the region overnight I was unsure if I was going to be seen or if the staff were going to be able to get in to the hospital?
The service I got from all the team was fantastic from welcoming me into the clinic and giving me a welcome hot drink to discussing what was going to be happening to me while I was there ,
Everything was explained in detail and the staff all made me feel at ease .
Once all the tests had been done the results were only a short wait and then the specialist nurse LAURA ( sorry didn’t get her surname ) called me to have a discussion regarding the results . From the outset Laura was so professional , helpful and understanding she made me feel so comfortable, that we discussed everything from results to prevention to ongoing treatment, and after a few thorough examinations ( with a chaperone)
Laura concluded the appointment as she had started it very professionally and informative .
I can’t speak highly enough of the experience I had at the clinic from all the team that were there that day , and with so many negative views regarding the NHS I for one would like to thank them and ask this gets passed on to the relevant people involved . Thanks
