I had to get my subrapubic catheter removed yesterday (Tuesday 17th March) at the New Victoria Hospital Day Surgery Unit.
Despite it being a long day I couldn’t have been looked after any better. I received such professional and compassionate care from the two nurses. One was named Nicky and the other I forget to note the name of ethnic origin. They were both excellent. I got tea and biscuits as well as a delicious soup as it was a very long day.
And I had a very lovely one-to-one chat with Vicky just before I left which was full of empathy, understanding and kindness (and some good Glaswegian humour too!).
Thank you to the team: you made an unpleasant experience very pleasant. 10/10.
