I feel that the services I have used, generally are indifferent, uncaring, very badly managed. I have found dealing with them to be very difficult, traumatising and retraumatising me, and there is never any follow-up from their side. As you languish on the phone or in a long queue, I felt they display such indifference, impatience, ignorance that undermined the possibility of forging a working therapeutic relationship way before you will secure one. Neither the main service nor the Crisis Team has followed up on recent calls where I became overwhelmed and wound-up and asked to continue another time.
When I call I feel that I just get passed around, recently I phoned up wanting to register for some CBT and after being passed from one staff member to another the call hung up.
It's a white knuckle ride but I was left feeling dismissed.
