I have osteoarthritis. I waiting for hip replacement surgery. I had an appointment at Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to asses my health.
People present there were very nice and helpful to me. Starting with the gentleman at the registration desk, who, seeing that I could walk very poorly, led me to the waiting room, opening all the doors for me. Nurses - Shevon and Jackie - performed my medical examinations and interview very efficiently. It is noteworthy that they were so patient. I am Polish and although I am learning English all the time, I still have communication problems. When I didn't understand something, Shevon and Jackie explained it so that I had no problem understanding it anymore. They answered all my questions. And they did all this with a smile.
The gentleman who performed my heart examination was also very kind and patient.
I felt very comfortable with these people. I didn't feel any stress. They have introduced a great atmosphere. I am very grateful to them for that.
I believe that such friendly and competent staff will be in the operating room. I am not afraid of surgery with these people.
