I discovered what I thought were lumps on my breast. I contacted the GP Surgery and within a day I had had a telephone consultation with the GP and then asked to come in the next day. Following an examination I was referred to the Breast Surgery Clinic at Ayrshire Central Hospital. The outpatient appointment letter arrived within 4 weeks and I had the appointment a month later. On arrival at the breast clinic I was made to feel very welcome and quickly seen by the Consultant who examined me and sent me for a mammogram. The radiographers were excellent and extremely efficient and explained everything that was going to happen. Within 2 hours I had been thoroughly examined and informed that there was nothing to worry about. What a great service.

Dear shuddergk86

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your feedback. We will pass on your kind comments to the staff in the Breast Clinic, which I am sure they will be delighted to receive.

I know that finding a lump then waiting for your appointment, not knowing how what's going to happen, is very worrying, so I'm pleased that everything was clear.

Thank you once again, take care and keep well.

Best wishes

Tracy
