"The porter was so kind and helpful"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as a service user),

Would just like to say a massive thank you to Pat the porter. He took my dad for a scan back in December and left a lasting impression on my family, he was so kind and helpful. I work in the hospital and see Pat now and again, even after 6 months he asked me last week how my dad is getting on. That meant so much to me. I know he sees hundreds of patients every month.

He always has a friendly face and a kind word to say, truly an asset to NHS Grampian!

Dear AW09,

Thank you so much for getting in touch and sharing this story about Porter Pat, he really is an asset to the team. He will be delighted to know he has made such a good impression and that his kind and friendly manner is noticed and makes a difference to how patients, and families feel while in the hospital.

I have made sure your comments have been shared with the Portering Supervisor who will share with Pat too - as I am sure having a special mention will brighten his day.

Take care,

Kirsten
